Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
Who we are
Fix Your Insulin and the Insulin Fix Scanner are run by Wellingtonia Publishing LLC, 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Contact: karl@fixyourinsulin.com. This policy covers information that may be about your health, on fixyourinsulin.com and insulinfixscanner.com, for everyone, including residents of Washington, Nevada and Connecticut. The reader questions are research for readers in the US; if you live elsewhere, please don't take part, and write to us to have anything deleted.
What we collect, and where it comes from
Everything below comes from you, directly.
- Reader questions(only if you choose “I agree, let's start” before the first question; if you say no, you get no questions and we save no answers): your goal, what gets in the way, what you believe about food, how much you know about food and insulin, what you have tried, whether you have the book, what would help you, and anything you type in the last question. With them we save how far you got, when you agreed, a random code for the device you answered on, and a coded reference that lets us find your answers if you ask us to delete them. Answers are saved as you go, from your second answer on (the first is saved with it), so a mail scanner that opens your link can't answer for you. If you stop after one answer, nothing is saved.
- The scanner (if you use it): meal photos and descriptions, scores, and any notes, weight or glucose entries you add.
How we use it
- To show you a guide based on your answers.
- With your consent: internal research. Our team reads the answers and counts the multiple-choice ones, to improve our emails and products. No AI service reads or summarises your reader-question answers, and they are kept out of our advertising tools. We will not use your words in ads, or publish them, without asking you first.
- For the scanner: to provide the features you choose.
Who handles it for us
Only service providers that process it on our behalf: Kit (our email platform, which stores on your email profile how far you got, when you agreed, the device code, the private link we emailed you and the coded reference that links to your answers, but not the answers themselves), Supabase (our database, which stores your reader-question answers, without your email address, and scanner data), Vercel (hosting), PostHog (analytics, which receives only that you started, which question you reached and whether you agreed, never your answers; like any website, it also receives your IP address and browser and device details) and Anthropic (the AI service that scores meals in the scanner; it does not train its models on this data, and it never receives reader-question answers).
We do not sell your health data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we never use it in ads. The reader questions page loads no advertising pixels, and no answer, and no group of subscribers chosen by their answers, is ever sent to an ad platform. We share it with no other third parties or affiliates.
How long we keep it
Reader-question answers, including anything you type, are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time. Scanner data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request.
Your rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we hold health data about you, to see it (including the list of service providers above), to delete it, or to withdraw your consent. Email karl@fixyourinsulin.com from the address we write to you at. We answer within 45 days. If we turn a request down, you can appeal by replying “appeal” to our answer, and we will tell you the outcome and how to contact your state attorney general.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above, and we will ask for your consent again before using your health data in a new way.
